Melanie Weaver Barnett
Executive Consultant
With 30 years’ experience in a mix of the corporate world, consulting, and academia, Melanie brings an inclusive, collaborative, and energetic leadership approach to her work. She has created new global partnerships, developed innovative learning experiences, and earned high levels of customer satisfaction, all while achieving unprecedented organizational growth. Melanie is currently the executive director of UNICON, an international consortium of the world's leading business schools. She previously served 14 years as chief executive education officer at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and several years in a then-Fortune 500 petroleum additives company Ethyl Corporation. She is also a certified executive coach and consultant.
Melanie has co-created solutions with and for a wide range of global organizations including ICBC, DTE Energy, Toyota Motors North America, Saudi Arabian Telecom Company, and the National Football League. She serves an executive education faculty member, developing and teaching programs on leadership, change management, talent management, and team–building.
While she was once an all-American distance runner and now a proud mom of two grown sons, today she reluctantly has to use the “J-word” to accurately describe her running workouts. (That would be “jogging,” by the way.)
